THE SELECTION is a novel by Kiera Cass published in the 2012. It´s a serie conformed by 5 books, the next are: The Elite, The One, The Heir and The Crown.
The first book is about a dystopian story, in there the world is divided into castes with 8 levels consisting in royals and elites and more levels.
America is the principal character of this story, she belongs to the level 5, the "artist" caste she plays the violin, she has a boyfriend calle Aspen.
The kings summon all the girls of 18 years old to find a couple to the prince and she is selected. After, all the selected ones will have to live in the palace so that the prince Maxon can meet them and choose who will be the next princess.
A love affair with America, Aspen and Maxon develops... How it will end?
